What's your client retention strategy?

Have you ever considered the lifetime value of your customers?

In fact, 63 percent of sellers used an agent they had worked with before or an agent that was referred to them by a friend, neighbor or relative, according to NAR.

To maximize your future success, you need a customer retention strategy. Get started with these steps:

1. Redefine the sale. 

You’re not just selling homes, you’re selling your brand. Prove your value by creating an exceptional customer experience.

Taking time to properly guide the journey shows you care about more than a commission. 

2. Be proactive. 

Being responsive is great, but clients shouldn’t have to initiate every conversation. Build rapport by asking questions and addressing concerns.

Follow up consistently and reach out when you have relevant information to share. 

3. Thank your clients. 

A thank-you card or a housewarming gift after closing is nice. But you should also show your appreciation throughout the transaction. Personalize your approach from day one and go above and beyond.

Remember, your clients are putting their dreams of homeownership in your hands.

4. Nurture past relationships. 

Only 12 percent of buyers use an agent they’ve worked with in the past. If you lose touch after closing, your chances of receiving referrals or repeat business diminish significantly.
