What’s your brand?

What’s your brand?

Do you remember the good ole days when every restaurant you went to had a pack of matches in a big bowl at the front of the restaurant?

I still have a bowl filled with boxes of matches from trips I went on 10 years ago.

Why do I keep them? Not because I use that many matches, I keep them because they are memories. They remind me of the trip my husband and I went on to New Orleans six years ago for our birthdays.

It was a great trip, we went in February. Our birthdays are two days apart and It turned out to be Mardi Gras and we had so much fun. — and yes we are probably the only people who go to New Orleans over Mardi Gras on accident.

I still have the book of matches from the restaurant we had dinner at. Our friends recommended it. I ended up getting really sick from all the butter I ate in the shrimp dish but I still covet the matches.

The match tips are the same dark green color as the restaurant logo. I love colored matches. They make them seem unique and special.

The fun thing is every time I pick up the matches I don’t remember that I got sick after eating at the restaurant, I remember the music we heard playing on the streets, I remember the costumes, the Mardi Gras celebrations how much fun everyone was having and what a great trip we had. ?

Wouldn’t it be awesome if you stood out like that box of matches?

Imagine:

?? Being so clear about what you enjoy doing that you are able to talk about it with anyone anywhere.

?? You have such a clear vision of the work you want to do that you aren't exhausted applying to jobs you did two years ago.

?? Knowing how to package your experience in a way that got you work you enjoyed.

?? Your cover letter broke through all the noise because it talked about the amazing projects you've worked on and that got you more work.

Making the unique special thing you do stand out is your brand.

And you want to highlight that thing so you are remembered for being the person they should hire if they need to boost productivity, or get more eyeballs on their SM campaigns.

If you aren’t sure what your thing is a great way to start to uncover it is to listen to what people say about working with you. What do they compliment you on? ?Do they say you stay calm in even the most difficult situations? Do they say that they always knew they could count on you to get shit done? —that’s the core of what sets you apart. That’s the beginning of your brand.

You are really good at what you do, you just have to find a way to tell the rest of the world.

That's where I come in, I can help you uncover your Superpowers and help you package them in a way that gets you the work you want to do.

Grab a spot on my calendar so we can talk about how I can help you package your skills.
