What's in it for your audience?

What's in it for your audience?

Hey guys,

Thank you for tuning into another blog post from my heart.

Every time I take the time to write these blog posts, I am thinking about you.

What can I reflect on from my life to help the next person reading this?

If you are subscribed here or reading this for the first time, you didn't stumble here by accident.

It's because you have a genuine curiosity to improve your life, to enhance your marketing, and honestly, to grow yourself as a business owner and, most importantly, a human being.

You see, this is what I am passionate about.

Let me take you a few years back when I first started creating content.

I didn't know what I was doing; I just knew that I wanted to share my life with the world.

From playing with my friends to showcasing my journey as a professional footballer, I didn't have a clear plan.

The reason for this article is to tell you that there is no on/off switch when it comes to your personal brand.

Why do I say that?

As I repeat, when you show people glimpses of who you are as a person, like I did as a young man documenting my journey, I was unconsciously providing something valuable for my audience.

We can all relate to one another, regardless of race, background, or social status.

We all have similarities, and we are all striving to grow into the people we were meant to be.

So, what I mean by there being no on and off switch is that you have to consistently provide glimpses for your audience.

What is your business?

What problems are you solving?

Okay, how can you share more, not just about your business, but about yourself?

You can market your lifestyle.

Let me give you an example.

One day, I went for dinner with Dad—just a usual dinner that we often have.

I thought, "Let me bring my camera."

We never prepared for it, but I always know that personal branding is 24/7.

We can have a conversation that, if someone else were listening, could impact lives.

That's exactly what we did.

We sat and talked about our company values, our morals, and what we are building. That video went on to do well, but guess what?

We now use that video as part of our recruitment process, so anyone we hire knows who we are as a company.

You see, the content not only serves as marketing material but also sets the tone for building a powerful brand.

Your employees already know so much about you before they even start working for you. They've consumed your content.

Very quickly you will be able to decifer who is in your tribe!

They know what to expect.

Everyone wants to work for someone who makes them feel part of a mission, vision, and purpose. And people with personal brands attract the best talent, precisely because of that!

Are you going on holiday?

Let's share that.

What lessons did you learn on the flight?

Or what did your children teach you during your trip to the beach?

When you do that, you are building a legacy.

You are creating something extraordinary.

Whether you sell your business or start a new venture, you will always have an audience, a community of people who want to tune into you.

I was fortunate enough to deliver another keynote speech within my BX networking community recently.

I won't lie; I love speaking.

I feel like I was meant to do this, but I need to keep improving.

The reason I enjoy it so much is because I want to make all my presentations about the audience.

I want people to engage and ask questions.

How can I show up for you?

You have an amazing gift you truly care about, so let's get to the bottom of your pain points and discuss them.

That should be your job now as a founder.

Go and put yourself in positions to speak.

I know it can be daunting, I know it can be frightening, but what other option do you have?

You are aiming to create something legendary, so more people need to be aware.

You need to educate more people, and when you document that and share it, that's where the magic happens.

I want you to love yourself.

I want you to always think, especially when it comes to marketing, about your audience.

What problems do they have?

Why are they going through what they're fighting through?

Now, focus on that. Make content around that!

Market your lifestyle.

Use every opportunity in your personal life to create stories and learning lessons that can now help others.

That is the journey.

If you would like to watch this amazing presentation I did on marketing your lifestyle and how you can build a brand for the test of time, you can watch it here.

I am proud of you!
