What’s in Your Acres of Diamonds?

Do you know the story, “Acres of Diamonds”?

For the first time last month I had the incredible experience of visiting Yellowknife, NWT. Have you been? It’s a gem.??

As a true Canadian, I’m committed to experiencing every part of our incredible country. I’ve been coast to coast, St John’s Newfoundland to Vancouver Island. I’ve bicycled Pelee Island, the southern-most tip of Canada. And I’ve hiked and camped in Pangnirtung, Baffin Island in the far north.

Yellowknife, locally called the “Knife” or "YK", is well known for dazzling northern lights prominently displayed in the night sky – which did not disappoint. This was another gem on my bucket list. ??

The magic of Yellowknife extended beyond the magnificent rock formations, the stunning rivers and lakes, and the trees eking out an existence just below the tree line.

There is incredible public art installed in and all-around town, some indigenous, some celebrating the mining community, or bush pilots and many honouring the natural world. I'm an avid art fan so this was another gem of discovery.

I was there to participate in the Corporate Connections Canada’s Canadian Leadership Summit.

I was invited to speak to the attendees from across Canada who shared their passions plus personal and business stories. This was profound and powerful.

Over the course of the 4-day Summit, yet another diamond was discovered ?? Summit participants became part of my trusted inner circle!
