What's wrong with freelancing?

Now I understand, why some are biased against hiring freelancers.

All I had to do was start looking for a pool of freelancers to work on my own projects ??.

Miscommunications happen all the time and people tend to respond negatively when their feelings are hurt. This can be especially problematic when you don’t know that your contracted employees are upset.

It’s often helpful to look at things from your employee’s perspective. Whether they’re a designer, copywriter, videographer (you get the idea) — understand they’re selling their skills, knowledge, and time.

Rarely is communication included in their pricing (which is usually pretty low, to begin with).

Here’s the hard truth. From language barriers to simple misunderstandings, messages get mixed up. It comes with having to collaborate with different kinds of people.

Now that we understand that misunderstandings are inevitable, we can choose to see them in one of two ways. We can either:

(a) get upset and let our emotions affect our potential success;

(b) make peace with the fact that these things happen and not let it get in our way.

I get it. These situations can be stressful. That’s why my clients say I’m pretty good at going with choice (b).

Why?

I do my best to promote calmness and clean language, which helps me convert common misunderstandings into meaningful learning experiences. So I guess they consider my patience to be a strength ??
