What's on the Venu? #5 Pressure breeds Diamonds

Sleep is low, eyesight is fading, but vibes could not be more at an all time high. This week was HEAVY on Venu infrastructure, building out necessary decks and starting the conversations in preparation for the beginning of our fundraising round. I will say, it is nice to have 15 team members at home doing everything they can to keep morale high and I'll tell you they are doing an absolutely fantastic job. Some shoutouts are due, but in particular Ratan Naik , Aman Kumar and Amanda Whitham BALLED OUT this week when the spotlight was on.

Pressure breeds Diamonds

I have pitched Venu: Plans Made Easy five times on stage since my arrival and FINALLY, we got invited to a Pitch Competition (Tuesday invite for a Thursday event). These are genuinely the situations I live for and in two days I had a whole new pitch, table set up and we pushed a new version of the app. I love to pitch off the cuff as long as we hit our five main points and the vibes were too high to not try and pull this off. 4 hours later and a 2 minute pitch done, we secured a victory at the Poker Angels event!

This is not about me or Venu, this is about the fact that stress is something your mind creates, the same mind that always works to defeat it. Everything is a mind space and if you can find the one that suits you, you will thrive under pressure.

Highlights and Lowlights

Highlights are I've gotten into running so if I don't come back home from here 6' 4" with an 8-pack I don't know what I am going to do.

We also signed 6 comedians this week and FINALLY got our new merch samples in that I have been trying to strategically dish out left and right.

Highlight is I'm still fired up.

Lowlights are I miss my family, like so much. BUT, I am here on a mission and I am pretty sure they didn't let Neil Armstrong take a quick trip to his family's house before they took off. Long story short, I am so grateful to have a family that fires me up daily to do my absolute best out here and that is what I am going to keep trying to do.

There is genuinely nothing I enjoy less than eating food that I make, I follow recipes, it tastes fine. But, something about somebody else making you dinner or going out to dinner is a little victory that I need to start appreciating more.
