What's on the Venu? #4 Let me fire you up on a Monday

HAPPPPPPYYYYY MONNNNDDDAAAAAYYYYY FOLKS! Two weeks in the books in Austin and my sleep schedule is WONKY. We have hit the ground running in just 14 days here and have had more experiences than I ever thought I would get to enjoy. Last week we worked the Mothership Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

No spoilers, but spending hours in the green room with people whose podcasts you listened to; to get you through a depressed year is a total full circle moment for me. While these interactions have been constant, at no point have I felt like I don't belong.

Three people in particular who have made a huge impact on my experience here are Kill Tony's Cristina Mariani, Shawn Gardini and especially Sam Lopez. Three of the nicest people in the world who have made really made me feel like I am in the right place.

1300 Downloads in two weeks here is legitimately a number I couldn't even have fathomed. So while there will be ebbs and flows, the Venu app is here and I will stop at nothing to turn it into the most utilized tool on the planet.

What is Trent up to?

To be 100% honest, I have been going up and down 6th street every night for about two hours the last 14 days. We are noticing our socials are starting to turn more heads than boots-on-the-ground and I really think we're going to lean into that. The comedy scene here is something that I have dreamed about since graduating college. I say that because since May of 2023, I was lost, depressed and just not independent. Once I found Venu and really put my life into it, I started attracting things and people in a way that feels genuine, rather than just trying to fill some void.

Long story short, I really think we have something special here, and if we keep putting everything we can into this, magic can happen. I would love some advice on creating an investor-specific newsletter as I think realistically, it's time to start opening up our pockets and get some top-class talent to help take us to the top of the App Store.

Leaning into a niche

A skill I had learned during my previous job was graphic design and installing advertisements on social platforms. We have gotten some of our biggest clients/collabs all from an Instagram DM that is a graphic of their show I made for them.

The people here are some of the funniest in the world, and I am going to do whatever I can to help them grow using the platform and any graphic design creativity I can continue to muster up the courage to send. The comics have really liked our sauce.

New "What's on the Venu?" every monday to fire you up for the week!

Happy Planning.
