60 Days in, not the show, but the reality. I just got off my flight back from Boston about two hours ago and boy is it busy in Austin right now. I've been here for the first two months of the year and while it has been busy, it has never been as busy as downtown was tonight. SXSW is here and now we're excited to introduce...
Venu Ai
YES! IT IS HERE THIS WEEK, and we are running a trial starting this week testing out the apps new Ai generated plans (aka Unscheduled plans). This is a huge transition and exciting update coming from our team, this is something that we have dreamed of doing and now, anywhere you are, at any time; we will have plans. WE KNOW NOT ALL PLANS ARE SCHEDULED, so we listened to you guys and updated it to follow suit.
How was home?
I love my family, we all should love our families. I will say though in my first two months here I really wasn't hurting from any home sickness because I feel like I was following my dream and still do. I will say though, I do love home and my parents rock! If we can keep tagging together some big milestones, it's going to make this a loooooottttt easier. But who likes easy? Nobody!
Both of my siblings have kids now and I'm jacked up for the team, needless to say we are ways away from anything like that on the Venu front.
I love these people.
There is a different energy in Austin that I can't really describe, the 9-5 isn't discouraged here, but it is definitely challenged. I don't like working 9-5, and half of my job is going to venues, meeting people and helping comedians promote shows that day.
So yes, while you're working on it between 9 and 5, realistically I need to optimize my time so that busy work can be done during those hours then the growth work can finish up later in the evening when I am out and about.
