???Above water and beyond
Regent has unveiled a full-scale mock-up of the Viceroy, an electric flying boat designed to cruise a short distance above the water. The Viceroy will carry 12 passengers and should operate commercially by mid-decade.
?? After Mini cars, the micro-cars
French start-up Kate has raised $7.6 million to develop an alternative to regular cars: electric micro-cars. Their next car, the K1, will be designed for everyday use - not long-distance trips - and would be easier to maintain, cheaper and smaller than regular cars.
?? Delivery robolution
Yesterday, Uber Eats started offering deliveries by robots in Fairfax, Virginia. This new service is made possible by the expansion of the existing partnership between Uber and Cartken, the company which provides six-wheeled robots used to deliver food.
?? Shop & charge
Walmart has announced it plans on implementing electric vehicle charging stations in thousands of its US stores by 2030. The company expects an average of four chargers at each participating store.
?? Cybersummer
Three years after its initial announcement, Tesla's Cybertruck should start production this summer. Elon Musk did not give details regarding the vehicle, and said that all of its features will be unveiled during the delivery event.
