Illumination CEO Teases 'Shrek 5' and Donkey Spinoff

The internet is abuzz following the news that a new Shrek movie may be in the works. Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, who also serves as a creative partner to DreamWorks Animation, teased that negotiations are taking place to bring the original cast, which includes Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy, back for another Shrek movie, as well as a spin-off Donkey movie.

“We anticipate the cast coming back,” Meledandri told Variety. “Talks are starting now, and every indication that we’ve gotten is there’s tremendous enthusiasm on behalf of the actors to return.”
