?Infosys and Sarvam AI Collaborate on Small Language Models for Banking and IT

Infosys has developed two small language models, Infosys Topaz BankingSLM and Infosys Topaz ITOpsSLM, utilizing NVIDIA's AI stack to enhance AI adoption in enterprises. Created at Infosys’ center of excellence for NVIDIA technologies, these models are designed to provide effective solutions tailored for the banking and IT operations sectors.

Grounded SAM integrated on the Dataloop Platform

The feature allows users to detect and segment objects in images using natural language prompts. Users can easily describe labeling needs with simple text, automating the annotation process for large datasets, and enabling bulk labeling of thousands of images quickly.

Cognizant announces new Gen AI Lab with Google Cloud

The Generative AI Lab, launched in collaboration with Google Cloud, will provide a hands-on environment for exploring, designing, prototyping, and testing Gen AI use cases.

Google Q3 FY24 Highlights: Gemini API Sees 14x Growth

Its Q3 2024 revenues stood at US$88.3 billion, a 15% year-over-year increase, with Google services at US$76.5 billion (up 13%) and Google Cloud rising 35% to US$11.4 billion. Additionally, the company also announced that its Gemini API witnessed a 14x increase in usage.

Google’s AI Overviews Expand to over 100 Countries

Users in any region with AI Overviews will now be able to view information in multiple supported languages like English, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, or Spanish, making it easier for users to get insights in their preferred language, regardless of their location.

Amazon Launches Rufus, a Generative AI Shopping Assistant, in beta across Europe

Rufus is an AI-powered shopping assistant designed to enhance the Amazon shopping experience by answering customer queries, providing recommendations, and facilitating product discovery. Rufus is now in beta in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, following its successful deployment in the U.S., UK, and India.

OpenAI to Launch In-House AI Chip by 2026

Partners with Broadcom and TSMC to create its first in-house AI chip, launching in 2026, to enhance AI infrastructure. Analysts predict the chip, focused on inference tasks, will help OpenAI meet future needs as demand grows for applying AI models in real-time tasks rather than exclusively for training purposes.

Meta Launches MarDini: New Video Diffusion Models

Launched in collaboration with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), the model can fill in missing frames in videos, turn a single image into a moving scene, and even extend a short clip by adding natural, continuous frames.

Meta Launches NotebookLlama

Built on Meta’s Llama models, it generates conversational, podcast-style summaries from uploaded text files, similar to NotebookLM.

IBM Launches AI Agent Feature in watsonx.ai

The AI Agent feature in watsonx.ai provides a comprehensive toolkit for AI builders, allowing them to streamline the AI development process. It enables the creation of agentic services using popular open-source frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and Crew AI, supported by industry-standard APIs and SDKs.

Aarna.ml Releases Version 2.0 of GPU Cloud Management Software (CMS)

The NVIDIA-backed AI infrastructure software startup says this new version is designed to improve how AI cloud providers, both public and private, optimize and scale their GPU as a Service (GPUaaS).

NVIDIA Ethernet Networking Accelerates World’s Largest AI Supercomputer, Built by xAI

NVIDIA announced that xAI's Colossus supercomputer, the largest with 100,000 Hopper GPUs, leverages the Spectrum-X Ethernet platform for superior performance. Colossus is training xAI’s Grok family of large language models and is set to double in size to 200,000 GPUs.
