What's a "Strong" Password? And Why You Need One
A weak password is still the #1 way hackers break into your network. In fact, 81% of the total number of breaches last year utilized weak or stolen passwords!
New password guidelines that’ll keep you much more secure (ignore these and you’re an easy target for hackers!):
- Length beats complexity
- Use memorable phrases
- Enable passkeys when available
- Add biometric authentication (such as Face ID)
- Never reuse passwords on other sites
Think ‘passphrase’ more than ‘password’. Our general recommendations are that a passphrase should be at least 16 characters and contain upper-case, lower-case, numbers, and symbols. You want something that’s easy for you to remember, but hard for someone to guess.
Example strong password: “CoffeeShop-Sunset-892†(easy to remember, hard to crack)
Tip: Password managers such as 1Password remove the burden of having to remember a billion different passwords. And because you don't have to remember them, a password manager helps you use a unique complext password every time.

1 周The password is the first line of defense and if it is not strong, then there could be a good chance the defense in the back is also not as strong. Anthony Rivera i agree, 1Password rocks!
