What’s in store for Digital Marketing 2018!
No doubt this is going to be another exciting and progressive year of growth for digital and marketing departments across the board! Speaking to our network in e-commerce, travel, entertainment and leisure, we’ve noticed common themes in what digital leaders are anticipating for this years digital BOOM!
So, what’s happening?
Apps
· As you well know people reply on their apps more than ever particularly things like maps, transportation, and review apps. As they are becoming more and more ingrained in our daily life they have become the perfect platform for brands to grow. This year it’s said we’re going to see more brands capitalising by partnering with other highly popular apps for exposure. Which means continued growth in product and programmatic marketing for 2018; these desirable skill sets are already in great demand.
Big Data
· Big data’s is trending and it’s not only big major players who are talking about it, there are over 6 million developers working on big data projects—and its growing accessibility thanks to machine learning and AI. Big data will become more available to small- to mid-sized business owners and more advertising platforms will be incorporating big data into their usual infrastructure. It’s going to be hard to stay competitive if you aren’t tapping into the thousands of customer data points that are now available. The savvy digital businesses we work with look for strong analytical capability in their digital marketers, being able to demonstrate this on your CV and during an interview will really set you apart from other candidates at interview stage; talk to us about how best to present your CV and prepare for interviews in digital.
Multiple device marketing
· Multiple device marketing is the biggest trend from 2017 which will follow through into 2018 – making sure that targeted campaigns are relevant to every device, in any location, at any time. It’s all about offering streamlined and accessible service in a constant manner. We’re finding that more employers are looking for candidates able to brief developers with higher technical specs!
It’s safe to say there has never been a more exciting time for brands to jump into the digital marketing arena than now so 2018 will showcase more big digital transformations, and strong digital growth.
We have specifically developed our digital niche across retail, travel, leisure, entertainment and e-commerce, and are now with savvy digital businesses who are looking to grow their digital teams.
