What's in store for 2024?

What Q1 2024 holds for us?

NFMS:

We’ll be back in Louisville! The National Farm Machinery Show is the perfect place to discover the forefront of agricultural innovation. Every year, a comprehensive array of cutting-edge products, equipment, and services are exhibited that define the future of farming.

For 2024, the Kentucky Exposition Center is completely sold out(!) with more than 1.2m sq. ft. activated, making it the country’s largest indoor farm show. Industry experts and fellow professionals from across the globe will be convening to gather the latest technological advancements essential for the upcoming farming sector.

For those attending, find BKT at booth 6407, which is located in the South Wing!

AGG1:

We’re thrilled to be back in Nashville, joining over 400 exhibitors. Attendees can explore a diverse range of equipment and products curated from leading manufacturers, spanning aggregate, asphalt, pavement maintenance, and traffic safety. The AGG1 Academy provides insights from seasoned experts and allows attendees to connect with like-minded peers.

Running from 25th - 27th March, you can find BKT in booth 353. Stop by to learn more about our tires - and to get your hands on various BKT giveaways, including baseball caps, soccer balls, and our much-loved EARTHMAX keychains!

Is this the biggest agriculture trend of the year?

AI might be agriculture’s biggest revolution, providing farmers with insights and fostering proactive decision-making. Analytics, which are more crucial than ever, cover areas such as weather forecasting, crop yield estimates, and pricing trends - and matched with AI, can empower farmers to make more informed choices. Personalized assistance from AI-driven chatbots may further support farmers with tailored suggestions. Additionally, AI can play a crucial role in automating the identification of diseases in plants and livestock, allowing for corrective actions.?

BKT Stories preview

Meanwhile, we're excited to share a sneak preview of our first BKT Story of 2024. This time we explore the day-to-day activities of an independently run quarry in Cornwall - an area of the UK with a rich history in mining.

During the episode, we meet some of the quarry's key personnel within their workforce. We explore:

  • Some of the differences between working in a corporate environment vs a family-run business, within the mining sector.
  • The varying (and often extreme!) conditions faced by workers within this sector in the UK, from heavy rain through to very dry terrain.
  • Some of the environmental and sustainability challenges that industrial businesses must overcome in 2024 and beyond.
  • Which BKT tires this family-owned business uses, and how they play an important role in driving efficiency and safety across their operations.?
  • The cost and longevity implications associated with using the right tires for industrial applications.

Stay tuned for the full episode which will be released on BKT Network in March.
