What's So Great About Today?

Today started out as a not so exciting day, wondering why? The answer's simple, I'm a normal guy having a normal day. Well, not really a normal day, more like the mother of all boring days. I was used to believe myself very special. I guess I'm not. That was a hard pill to swallow as I don't want to believe that. Although I will keep the possibility that I might be wrong, in the loop. It's not a daily day occurrence you think less of yourself, least not in my case. If you are wondering, I might sound like a depressed youth who missed his morning pill, maybe you're not far from the truth. Maybe my next stereotypical statement would be ' All I want to say is they don't really care about us'. I would believe that if a real spiritual Guru said that, a true saint is the only one who has no care in the world or about the world. We the people who are part of the society constantly are in need to win other peoples opinion. I challenge you to ask your honest reply, would you dress hideously just because you liked the style or you'd dress appropriately so that you would fit in? Why do you need a hairstyle? Now some might chuckle thinking that this writer has gone bonkers, but really I am curious of all those skeptics, though everyone knows that beauty is an illusion that cannot be or need not be maintained. Then, why is real value overseen when rubbish comes in a pretty package? We humans are said to be the smartest creature on earth, why do we fool ourselves valuing all that is fake overseeing the real deal? Now this moment led me to think about a magic trick, everyone seated knows he is not Dumbledore or Gandalf the Grey. Everyone knows he's tricking you, but are delighted to get fooled, the best part of the trick is everyone expects to be tricked. So what exactly this signifies, some might ask, 'I might enjoy an illusion of spectacular what's wrong in it mate? Yeah, it's a trick, but for a short moment I am blown out of this world, which is defined by law and rules of nature, science and the controlling men.'

A legitimate reply which I can't argue with or deny. However, I suspect that this materialistic life caged in a promise of a better tomorrow is renewed every day. We want to be tricked into a promise of wonderland that is far far away which takes hideous amounts of sacrifice and effort to reach there. I ask myself and everyone reading this, when does that tomorrow appear? How do we get into tomorrow? What should we do today to get to tomorrow? And I could come to only one sane reply, sleep on it today. Before you know your alarm will be screaming tomorrow, simple as that. Tomorrow might be a wonderful day you might buy a Ferrari, the day where you get laid might be tomorrow, and trust me humans, having sex is the most necessary goal for our species. Alright, back to tomorrow, maybe tomorrow you're bills free, loan free and have a hundred million in your account. Who cares? Well, I can imagine lots who read this cares, but on a serious note, I ask you this, the better tomorrow is always there tomorrow, but is it worth to put a hold on today? I'm talking about now, people have less regard for the moment compared to their dream tomorrow. The hard and real fact my dear ladies and gentlemen is, it is now that empowers you. It is now that allows you freedom of action, speech and emotion, it is now that you live, now that you feel, now that you breathe, now that you burn energy, now that you grow, now that you play, now that you express, now that you work, now that you relish, now that you love. Yes, I ended in love, I'm a romantic, which is now. You all might think I'm again one of those people who is going to tell you to live the moment. Nodding to the advice you will be back on your schedule after reading this. No, I'm not the usual kind like I said earlier, I believe I am special. So what am I going to say? Why am I stroking away my touch screen? Creating this group of sentences that already points to usual message: 'live the moment'. If you recall the beginning I believe I stated that, as much as I like to believe I'm special, I'm still normal. Yes, I'm telling you to live the moment, but if you notice, you might have built an anticipation on the last few lines, with a spike in curiosity, you would have sped up a little to reach my new and never before 'message to the masses' and now you're relaxing back to your pace. Well, this is how we live life, in the curiosity of tomorrow we speed through today, missing the moment to live, but when we decide to live. You are almost at the end, like now. Curb the curiosity, take ease of the anticipation. Tomorrow will always come, good or bad it cannot be stopped.

Yesterday can be remembered, tomorrow can be anticipated, but it is only today that we can live. I don't mind being the usual spectacular, 'Live the moment mate'.
