What's the price of your Smart Gadget?

I was in an electronic shop with my wife to buy a pair of earpods.

And I went to the TV section which was pretty a huge wall of amazing quality of visuals being played.

A few moments later a young couple came in and inquired about a smart TV.

I remember my olden days when we had a wooden shuttered box - Beltek TV...??.....The very memory was nostalgic as I remember how I used to climb up to the roof to adjust the antenna while the rest of the family hooted the best tune-up for Ramayan and Mahabharata.

Let me share my learning from this

My Uncle & and mentor used to tell me that poor people get a Big TV while Rich people have libraries.

A TV is not just a mere TV but a semi-programable distraction. ??

Now tell me, What would be the price of the time that you munch on in front of the TV- where you could have done something great, creating stuff that you would cherish for a lifetime, You could have taken care of your health, mind - relationship, etc

Earlier it was channel surfing and now it's called browsing?? - both are the same. But what I feel is not the TV but the content that you consume makes the difference!

This new couple wanted the TV as the man wanted to watch sports and the lady wanted to watch daily soaps.

While speaking to them gradually I found these hidden secrets

They are technically lonely!??????

They just wanted something out of their mundane daily monotonous life

They wanted to show off to their relatives and friends how this piece of electronic is a mirror to their status and earnings and thereby designation.

It also struck me that this piece of smart gadget tells others about their control of supremacy.

The lady also went on to say that she finds herself aloof when the community speaks about some new web series or #Netflix. This feeling of deserting & and seems like social ignorance is taunting for her with the shame of missing out. She feels out of clan or tribe.

I wanted to ask you about how are you going to confront such FSA a false sense of achievement.
