What’s the price of charging an electric car on the Top 10 rapid charging networks?
Having just had a lengthy phone conversation with a potential new customer, I quickly googled the average price for charging, I was quite amazed at the differences.
So, with faster charging BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles) and the real need to only charge below 80% when out and about, I was intrigued to guess at what I thought the rate might be. In fact, I was close to what the real rates in the market place really are. Couple with this with the need or want to make longer journeys, faster charging at what I would describe as a premium rate is a must. The average business or fleet driver can’t always charge on a home charger at a lower rate when away.
Some of my quick research revealed a great article by Jade Edwards from ZAPMAP. A great read!
“The price to charge an electric car on one of the Top 10 rapid charging networks in August 2024 varies between 55p/kWh and 85p/kWh”
