I am a financial planner. Sometimes people ask me,"What's the Outlook for the Stock Market?" and "Should I invest now or wait until the market drops?" I tell them I don't know. Sometimes that makes them think I am not very smart. I refer them to Gene. Gene is a nice man. Gene is much smarter than I am. Here is what Gene says about market valuations -
Sidebar: "Gene" is Professor Eugene Fama. He is a finance professor at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. I was first introduced to Gene through my econ curriculum at Williams College. More than 30 years later, Efficient Market Theory is still taught in virtually every undergraduate and graduate finance and econ program on the planet. Gene won the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in 2013. Gene is a smart man. I believe what Gene says.
