Ok. You are a progressive organization. Let us imagine that we have mastered the art of one view of customer - consumer - products - and suppliers. Let us imagine that you have technology in place to get real time insight into what your customers and consumers want. Let us also imaging that you have a demand driven supply network, highly responsive. Imagine that you have the best customer relationship and has been able to track the lifecycle of the customer. Let us also imagine that you have a highly streamlined product life cycle management team, which churns out new products and services as they change based on the demand.
So the question is "What Next? ". In this Utopian world, what should organizations do. The scenario that I painted above is going to happen. What will you as the organization do, having known everything about the consumer and customer.
The fundamental reason for anyone to embrace your products and services is because of perceived "VALUE". Perceive value driven buying decisions. How can you improve this perceived value. It is a product of Price x Service x Availability x Features. Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Facebook got it right in few instances. First let us get organizations get the 4 things right. All of the differentiators like Data, Information, Insights, Analytics, Customer life cycle management does not matter if we do not get Pricing, Service, Availability and Features right.
Organizations have spent very little in getting PSAF right. We should double click on PSAF and go through the root cause of them - fix them permanently. We need all the technology to help organizations master PSAF.
