"What's Next?"

I had an interesting revelation while suffering from altitude sickness climbing the last kilometer to Everest Base Camp - nothing like gasping for air, feeling like my boots were made out of lead, with a pounding headache to create mental clarity!

The revelation I was seeking when I ventured on this trek was whether I had lost my edge because I stopped building new companies.

The past while, I started to wonder if I was burned out or if I had become lazy.

This wondering started when I noticed the anti-climactic answer I had been giving the last while when asked, "what's next for you?"

My answer had become "I have no plans to launch anything new - I'm focusing on one company and niching down deeper into my genius for the next 5 years."

It fell in line with my 5% rebellion concept and was also not the answer I would expect from a serial entrepreneur who has built 5 companies and sold 4 of them over the last decade and a half.

Because of my history, there is an expectation of a new endeavor always being on the horizon.

I used to love identifying a hole in the market, pushing the envelope, creating a new brand, and unleashing it into the market as part of my empire.

What I realized on my trek was that is still happening.

Yes, I know that is a confusing statement, so let me clarify.

No, I am no longer launching new companies into the marketplace under my empire.

Instead, I am now doing it through the brands I am building with my clients in my Accelerator.

In this way, I get to push the envelope, create a new brand, and unleash it into the market through my clients who are highly accomplished professionals who create impact in this world outside the classic structure of working for a corporation.

This means using my creative, serial entrepreneur side to build their whole business from conception to launch including:

  • transforming their credibility in the marketplace by identifying their niche or genius and showcasing it through their standout personal brand on LinkedIn
  • attracting their ideal clients through an effective and targeted outreach strategy that leads to high touch events and a vulnerable call that drive new client sign-ups
  • crafting their limelight through high value content that allows them to audition their genius for their audience so their audience can test-run what they will learn from these brilliant professionals' programs
  • designing out their curriculum to create a simple and effective program that gets their clients predictable outcomes

What I realized while trekking isn't I haven't stagnated in my company.

I realized, I am scaling up entrepreneurial outreach through my clients in my Accelerator, creating highly accountable coaches and consultants who get predictable results for their clients while scaling their income and impact.

Not only does this elevate their credibility in the coaching/consulting industry, it helps them sleep well at night knowing what they are being paid for is getting their clients a return on investment that exceeds their tuition by multiples.

I guess sometimes I just need to take a step back, look up at something astonishingly beautiful (like the picture above) while pushing my body's limits with 50% atmospheric oxygen to answer burning questions about where I am at in life.
