What’s Next Black America?

Black folks, stand up and give yourself a standing ovation! You resuscitated Joe Biden’s presidential bid in the South Carolina primaries and was the powerful Tsunami force that pushed him across the finish line to become the 46th President of the most powerful nation in the world and quite possibly could shift the power of the Senate from red to blue in January 2021. My question is what’s next Black America? Is it immediate and fleeting, line dancing in the streets, horns honking, and clever memes like the early Obama years while our community as a collective continues to struggle with ongoing issues or do we hold up the mirror and accept the realization and challenge that we need each other more than ever now?

As we enter into the 3rd reconstruction for African Americans, our reality is we are now the 2nd largest minority population in this country with 13% and it’s imperative that we find a collective voice to connect, communicate and collaborate. Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner recently stated that “African Americans must want to be successful” we all know he was disingenuous and framing the narrative with his slick comments but what he does see as do others is a powerful yet fractured Black community that lacks a unified cohesiveness. According to the Selig center for economic growth, Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia African Americans buying power currently stands at 1.4 trillion dollars and is expected to approach almost 2 trillion dollars by 2024. If you watch, listen and read the current dialogue across social media outlets you find a collective that can’t operate from the same pulpit of Blackness for the empowerment and salvation of its own community. Social media shows a Black community publicly shouting so loudly at each other that it causes confusion, sows dissension, finger pointing, mistrust and ineffectiveness that we can no longer continue to battle if we are to survive collectively. There is no panacea, silver bullet or magic pill to eliminate the centuries of systemic racism by the majority race or psychological damage inflicted upon each other within our own community. I do know that history is a great teacher and we can’t keep doing the same thing and expecting different results the stakes are too high. Social Activist and rapper Killer Mike says now is the time to “strategize, organize and mobilize” as a community. How do we begin the journey, what are the first steps to get us there?

Corporate America says it committed to the success of Black America and I’m looking for their committed support as well to provide our communities with the digital tools needed to forward our position, the Uhai software solution is a permission based, invitation only collaboration & messaging software that provides a platform where the Black community can collectively share, harness, inform and archive its collective knowledge to begin to address the community building of a Black nation. A digital safe space where health, economic, criminal justice, policy makers, and community organizers and leaders can provide expert commentary and insight into assigned designated thought “spaces” that can disseminate trusted and factual information. A collective digital Black think tank that is unapologetic in its mission and goal. The many are smarter than the few and our collective survival hangs on our complete willingness to forge a new ideology for future generations…..www.uhai.co

It is a great thing to read - You made remarkable important points
