What's New....Part Two!
In last month’s newsletter I covered Part One of what’s new (including the MAU Clubhouse, Executive Summit, Networking, Founders House and the Strategic Council).
I am ecstatic to share that MAU is continuing to break pre-registrations. I hope it’s in part because of the many new experiences we’ve been sharing…thanks to feedback from you, the MAU community. So now is the time to apply to attend MAU! We're out here breaking records with early registrations and want to keep the momentum going! ??
What's NEW!
1. Mobilizers We are ecstatic to share that MAU is launching our own influencer program.
My gamechanger take: I’m thrilled to announce that Vahe Baghdasaryan, Alberto Nicolás Casado, Hannah Parvaz, Savio Nguyen and Simon Vishnevskiy are our first official Mobilizers!! MAU Vegas is where top mobile practitioners and creators unite to shape the future of app growth, and we're proud to partner with these leaders to help share the MAU story.
2. Mic Drops These 8-minute sessions are the new way to engage.
My gamechanger take: Learning styles are changing, and we’re here for it! That’s why we’ve sprinkled in bite-sized, power-packed moments loaded with key insights. Thank you to Amity, Alison.ai, Rengage , and Appnomix who are working with our content team on these mic drop moments.
3. Meetup Series We’re crowdsourcing which types of Meetups you want to attend during registration (another great reason to register early to make sure we hear your opinion).
My gamechanger take: 75% of First-Party Apps, 90% of First-Party Publishers and 95% of Studios shared they want to attend a Meetup – either by your area of responsibility (i.e. Growth vs Performance vs Product) or by your industry sector.
Thank you to Gummicube and MoEngage for sponsoring Meetups which will take place in the new MAU Plaza in the Expo Hall. While we’re working on the final Meetup topics, we’re also working to add roundtables to our programming to cover all of your favorite topics.
4. Expo Hall We decided to break the rules and try an all new expo hall?layout and experience.
My gamechanger take: This is where I geek out. The expo is where you discover the latest tech solutions and innovations. Plus, MAU sponsors bring their A-game. Last year I saw a ball pit and roulette tables, and this year our sponsors are looking into a human claw machine, basketball experiences and the list keeps going.
So if our sponsors can bring cool activations, it’s time for MAU to step up our experiential game. I want to give a shout out to ClearPier Inc. for sponsoring what’s going to be a hot destination– Puppy Park! Yes, there are puppies and you can even adopt them.?
To all my tech solution providers and agencies who haven't signed up yet, don't wait much longer. The expo hall is almost sold out!
5. Wristbands and Badges This year you’ll need a wristband (and yes, you’ll need to wear it every day) as well as your badge to access everything MAU – including parties, cabanas and Skyloft access.
My gamechanger take: So why are we doing this? There’s a history of badge sharing at MAU :(
For the practitioners: You understand the challenges of interpreting user behavior when multiple individuals share a single downloaded app. Sharing badges is no different. We want to make sure we know who's coming to MAU so we can design the best experience for everyone to enjoy.
For our sponsors: It can be frustrating to realize that several people from the same customer may be in Vegas, yet only one is captured in MAU’s official app.
If you planned to share a badge, take just 2 minutes and register for MAU. This is the final month to nab your badge at Early Bird rates (complimentary until April 10 for First-Party Apps/Brands, First-Party Publishers, Studios, and more).
What else in new? This year there will be an onsite fee for anyone who requests a badge reprint or a new wristband so make sure to hold onto them. Don't worry, we'll remind you when you arrive.
Final Thoughts
This February, members of the MAU team descended on Vegas to meet with the MGM Resorts International conference team, do a site visit at Hakkasan Group (for our new closing party venue!) and meet with the MGM Resort’s Event Production team who are helping us plan our opening party and activations. We walked away even more excited for this coming May 20-22.
