What's new in the transportation industry?Attending TransLogistica Poland 2024 as an opportunity to discover the latest trends.

TransLogistica Poland is the largest business event in the transportation and logistics industry in Central and Eastern Europe. It offers a unique opportunity for networking and establishing new business relationships. The 2024 edition will feature 400 exhibitors, including international participants.

Attendees can expect representatives from manufacturing companies, retail chains, distributors, importers, and exporters, all offering high-level services. Beyond networking, the event also serves as a platform to discover the latest trends and solutions in the TSL (Transport, Shipping, and Logistics) sector.

So, what changes are currently reshaping the industry?

Route optimization – minimizing empty truck runs

One of the most significant innovations in the transport industry is the growing emphasis on better route management. According to Eurostat data from 2022, empty truck runs pose a major issue. Not only do they generate unnecessary costs, but they also contribute to environmental pollution.

As a result, efficient transportation management has become a higher priority for companies within the TSL industry. Many firms are investing in technologies and strategies to optimize routes, ensuring that vehicles are fully loaded for every journey, thus reducing both operational costs and carbon footprints.

Innovative fuels and electrification

What innovations can we observe in the transportation industry? Certainly, modern fuels are among them. We now have options like LNG (liquefied natural gas). In some selected countries in Europe, there is also a more eco-friendly alternative – bio-LNG. This alternative is produced from organic waste, which helps reduce CO2 emissions when chosen as a fuel option.

Electric trucks are another area of innovation, although they remain a controversial topic. While electric vehicles are being integrated with other technologies and continue to evolve, they are not yet suitable for international transportation. The current range of electric trucks is too limited, making it difficult to meet delivery deadlines on long-haul routes. This limitation has hindered their widespread adoption in cross-border logistics.
