Mosseri describes the in-app nudges as a reminder, that whenever a user has spent too long of a period on one specific topic, to take a break and have a look at something else. The in-app notification will be launched this week and will send the user a pop-up reminder with some suggested posts they may be interested in.??

TikTok adds new tools to improve Digital Wellbeing?on app?

Instagram?wasn't the only social media platform that announced new ‘Digital well-being' features this week. TikTok introduced ‘Scheduled Breaks’ to prompt users to have breaks when scrolling through the app, these can be set up manually under the digital well-being section in the app.?

The problem with this function is that many young people won’t manually set up the function to take a break themselves, this is why TikTok has now introduced digital well-being prompts for users aged 13 – 17 that doesn’t require any set up. If the user stays within the app for more than 100 minutes in a single day, they will receive an automatic reminder of the screen time limit tool within the app. ?
