Today, we shipped .NET Aspire 9.0! There's a lot of updates including breaking changes.

To upgrade to .NET Aspire 9.0, follow the official guide.

Starting with .NET Aspire 9.0, the workload was removed. Instead, you'll reference the new:

With .NET Aspire 9.0, you can define custom resource commands that light up as .NET Aspire dashboard user experiences, enabling compelling scenarios!

The .NET Aspire app host is the work horse, acting as a local orchestrator—with that said, you can now subscribe to and publish events on the app host, or even at the resource level.

Additionally, in Preview with .NET Aspire 9.0 we're introducing a hosting integration for the highly requested Azure Functions. This means that you can use Azure Functions in .NET Aspire now!
