Onco-urology dialogue with Health Commissioner in Brussels

Hosted by the European Commission on World Cancer Day, EAU Young Urologists Dr. Rose Laursen (DK), Dr. Mark Horvath (HU), and Dr. Radion Garaz (DE), were selected to participate in a dialogue on cancer with young survivors, healthcare professionals, and Health Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi. EAU25 Patient Day: Raising PCa awareness in black men

"Black men face a higher risk of dying from prostate cancer due to delayed diagnoses, limited access to healthcare, and mistrust in medical institutions," states Dr. Eva McGrowder (GB) in her recent article sharing insights on the increased risk of PCa for Black men. "Men of Black African and Black African-Caribbean ancestry are notably underrepresented in PCa research and in Patient Reported Outcomes Measures (PROMs) as well as Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs)." Dr. McGrowder will chair the roundtable session titled: ‘Championing Black health equity in prostate cancer' at EAU25 Patient Day.

Bringing policy focus to bladder cancer

Today ?? February 19, together with the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition, we are hosting the third EUrology session, focusing on bladder cancer. This event explores the joint WBCPC-EAU White Paper and highlight actionable ways policymakers can make a difference. It is an opportunity to connect with patient advocates, policymakers, and healthcare professionals to advance bladder cancer care and support across Europe. See more info.

??E-course on PCa screening trials: Participate and gain 1 CME!

This e-course is the first in a series from the “Prostate Cancer Screening: PRAISE U training toolbox”, which is organised by leading experts from the PRAISE-U Consortium.?By participating you will learn about the key findings and limitations of the following traditional screening trials: the European Randomised study of Screening for Prostate Cancer; the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian; and the Cluster randomised trial of PSA testing for prostate cancer. Collaborations?? We are stronger together!

1?? The EAU has joined forces with European Federation for Cancer Images (EUCAIM) and the European Society of Radiology to endorse a new joint statement on the use of AI-powered imaging in advancing precision medicine for cancer care. Read more.

The EAU and the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance PCa treatment through the integration of nuclear medicine and urology. Key initiatives include joint educational programmes and events, policy collaborations, and publications on PCa diagnosis and treatment. Read more.
