Progress charges ahead at Osprey Valley site
Flat Iron is proud to lead the construction management of new amenities at?TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, one of Canada's top golf destinations. At the end of the 18th hole on the north course, you will see construction of the main clubhouse is well underway.
The renovations are part of an exciting series of changes at Osprey Valley, including clubhouses, onsite accommodations, and events and gathering facilities. Our Flat Iron team is hard at work bringing?Hicks Design Studio's?vision to life.
Julie Phillips joins industry discussions at IDS, Bisnow
Our President Julie Phillips joined “The Power of Women in Design & Construction” panel at Toronto’s Interior Design Show in January. The seminar explored the avenues taken by the speakers to thrive in a male-dominated industry. Alongside her fellow panelists, Julie emphasized the importance of mentorship and allyship for women in the industry.
More recently, Julie also?appeared as a panelist at Bisnow’s “Toronto State of the Market 2023” industry event, which took place in late March. The event aimed to answer the question: What does the future of Toronto’s commercial real estate market look like?
Julie's?panel, “GTA State of the Market: Construction and Development Update,” aimed to understand investors and developers’ draw to the Greater Toronto Area as the preferred market in Canada across the industrial, residential, and retail sectors.

Flat Iron Director Named ARIDO President
Flat Iron is proud to share that our very own Sabrina Carinci has stepped into the role of President of?ARIDO?for a two-year term.
Sabrina’s term will run through 2025 to help support the next several years with consistent leadership as the organization works towards advancing their Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives, as well as furthering the partnership with the OAA towards the introduction of regulation for Interior Design in Ontario.

Flat Iron Contributes to YPT Historic Milestone
As project construction manager, Flat Iron supported the initiative to usher in a new era for Young People’s Theatre (YPT), marking the company’s 57-year-old history with the unveiling of its $13.5 million “Room for Imagination” expansion project.
More than 10 years in the making, the now-completed major renovation project has turned Young People’s Theatre into Canada’s largest state-of-the-art theatre complex for young people. The new space empowers YPT to embark on its next chapter with a renewed sense of purpose as it provides joy, creation and imagination for thousands of young people within Toronto’s community.

Ping Pong Brings Community Together
Some of the Flat Iron team recently attended?Avison Young’s “Capes for Kids” ping pong tournament?at SPIN Toronto.
“Capes for Kids”?supports the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, and has raised over $1,700,000 for the hospital since its inception in 2017. Each March, the community comes together to unleash their inner superheroes by donning capes and raising money to help kids move, speak, play, and heal at the Hospital.
Members of the Flat Iron team got to enjoy a second night at SPIN Toronto, this time to attend Toronto Construction Association’s annual Young Construction Leaders event along with over 250 industry professionals.
