The dog days of summer are here, so we’ll keep this month’s newsletter brief.

3 months (and 350 commits from 46 contributors) after Druid 26.0 came out in May, we're excited to announce that Apache Druid 27.0 is out now! The new release includes:

  • Web console explore view
  • Asynchronous query and query from deep storage (experimental)
  • Smart segment loading
  • Type aware schema auto-discovery and Array columns GA
  • Iceberg support (experimental)
  • Improved platform compatibility
