What's new at Amygda: September 2023
September was a month of steady preparation for the final quarter of the year. We continued product development efforts, alongside advancing discussions with our key customers and prospects on where we are headed next.
Alongside this, in September, we:
1. We are hiring a Data Scientist
We are looking for a Data Scientist to work with Shaheryar (Shery) Khan - Amygda's Co-Founder and AI Lead.
Keywords: Python, Jupyter, time-series, aerospace / rail / engineering.
If you are interested in this role, DM Shaheryar (Shery) Khan or Faizan Patankar .
2. We attended the Digital Decade for Rail Summit
A day of discussions, panels and networking on the topic of bringing innovation to the UK rail sector and the barriers that need tackling.
It was a pleasure to listen to the speakers and catch up with rail connections.

3. We published a paper with Loughborough University in IEEE
Developing AI applications for machine prognosis and anomaly detection in complex engineering systems is tough due to their diverse nature.
In many cases, there's a lot of industrial data without labels, making it harder to find faults.
Amygda and Loughborough University explored the use of unsupervised machine learning techniques to help in industrial settings by grouping similar operational modes or machine conditions together automatically.
Thanks to the efforts of Yu (Eve) Zhang , Miguel Martínez , Emanuil Mladenov, PhD , Shaheryar (Shery) Khan, and Faizan Patankar.
Download the paper here.
4. We are exhibiting in our first Aerospace event.
Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
We'd love to talk!
