What's new at Amygda: June/July 2023

We demonstrated the world's first Generative AI application for transport at the Rolling Stock Networking event in Derby on 6th July.

We were excited to demonstrate this solution to train owners, operators and OEMs at the event and hear their feedback after test-driving our Generative AI application (sort of like Copilot for maintenance and service engineers).

Alongside preparing and attending Rolling Stock Networking, over the past few weeks we:

  1. Launched the first Generative AI application specifically addressing the needs of the transport industry
  2. Produced a?podcast?with Christine Lefroy-Owen , Innovation Manager at Northern , where we discussed the state of innovation in the rail sector and opportunities for improvement. ??
  3. Attended Rolling Stock Networking in Derby and enjoyed the opportunity to meet and network with key partners and stakeholders in rail. ???
  4. Progressed on a key project, showing AI detecting 96% of critical part failures without human input, advancing our vision of reduced reliance on human expertise in connected and/or autonomous assets. ??
  5. Won a funding grant, which will help us test and advance our data analysis and failure detection techniques, and in turn optimise rail operations, improve efficiency, increase ROI, and deliver a better customer experience for our rail partners. ??

1. Generative AI for transport

Amygda's groundbreaking Gen AI application for transport

We launched our Generative AI co-pilot, Amygda's brand new application for transport, bringing together data from multiple sources, making it possible for fleet engineers and managers to query the data and gain valuable insight on maintenance history, needs, alerts and appropriate remedial actions. This is the first solution specifically tailored to transport that is using Large Language Models and Generative AI, addressing the skills gaps in the sector, augmenting human knowledge, and providing smart maintenance support. The easy-to-use chat interface provides answers in real-time, optimising for the next best action, and speeding up decision-making.

2. Plan Ahead?podcast

Amygda's?Plan Ahead?podcast explores the future of transport and the challenges and opportunities in the industry.

In the latest episode of our podcast, Faizan Patankar and Christine Lefroy-Owen from Northern Trains had a fruitful discussion about the challenges to innovation in the UK rail sector, opportunities for SMEs in rail, and the future of the industry.

3. Rolling Stock Networking

We were excited to attend?Rolling Stock Networking?on 6th July in Derby where we had the opportunity to meet stakeholders in the rail sectors and discuss the challenges they face in optimising MaintOps. We demonstrated our Generative AI co-pilot - the first solution using Large Language Models specifically designed to address the needs of the transport sector.

The team enjoyed meeting rail partners and potential customers face-to-face, and we look forward to further events and networking opportunities.

We'd love to talk!
