What's in a name?

Hi?there!

Outside of my window, the sun is shining and there is not a flake of snow to be seen - a?downside (or upside!)?of living in the south of the UK! I'm very jealous of some of the team today who are taking time out as the schools are closed, and?are having a snow day!!?What a lovely end to the week.

As usual, there has been lots going on at JMVA HQ this week.?I was really chuffed to find out that my application to join the NatWest Accelerator Programme has been accepted, and I'll be starting their 6?months of coaching later this month, and am excited to see what direction it takes me in.?I feel a bit guilty as the course starts next Friday but I will be missing the first session as I've been asked to be a judge for the West Midlands PA Awards and the 17th is interview day!!?It's always such an honour to be asked to take part in events like this, and I have to say I am very much looking forward to the awards night itself, back in my old stomping ground.?

In my world

I'm super excited to announce that I have made the decision to become a Limited Company, and I'll be getting the ball rolling with my accountant very soon.?Before then though, I'm working on my registered business name.?I'll still be trading as Joanne Manville Virtual Assistance for now?but want to register the business with a name that better reflects the all-round support that we offer, and the long term benefits that our clients experience by working with us.?I spent some time earlier this week working with an amazing lady, Jody Newman, who is helping me come up with a name.?I have not yet had that lightbulb moment, so if you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Introducing Jenni

We are really pleased to welcome Jenni to the team.??Jenni has worked for 25+ years in business support roles for global corporate companies through to SME’s. She has been involved in HR recruiting and onboarding team members,?disciplinary’s and managing redundancy processes - as well as?managing performance reporting,?preparing board reports and presentations.

She loves being proactive and thinking about things before a client has even thought of it?themselves so that she is ready to roll when needed. Jenni says that supporting and making a client’s?day easier is the best feeling.?

She has a dog called Mischa (Black Labrador) and spends most of her?weekends finding long walks or at the gym.?Welcome Jenni.
