World ranked #3 Aryna Sabalenka defeated #1 ranked Iga Swiatek (6-3,6-3) for the 4th time in her career in a decisive Cincinnati Open semi-final win. #6 Jessica Pegula pulled away from #36 Paula Badosa to win her semi-final.

The Final, Monday Aug 19 3pm EST, promises to be a tough match with Sabalenka making her first final since Internazionali BNL d'Italia in May against Swiatek. Pegula is competing in her second final in a row, after competing at the National Bank Open in Toronto earlier this month.?

The USL Super League officially made its debut, marking the launch of a new Division One professional women’s soccer league. A sold-out crowd of 10,553 witnessed the Carolina Ascent’s 1-0 season-opening victory against the DC Power FC.
