What’s with Landlords pressuring tenants to commit?
You've heard it before: The Landlord’s agent tells the tenant that he or she must sign up urgently otherwise they'll miss a leasing opportunity.
This is fast becoming an everyday occurrence. But is there really a serious party interested or are they just a tyre kicker?
According to our team at Tenant CS, the so-called interested party is most likely just shopping the market.
So, if a landlord or agent starts putting the pressure on you, the best thing to do is NOTHING or tell them "if another party is so desperate to take the space then lease it to them”.
And, when the agent calls you back a few days later, start negotiating hard! Chances are they have no other parties interested.
