I'm getting lots of direct inbox messages asking for more details about my course at the moment, so I thought I would include the information here as I'm still rebuilding my website.

Get into Children's Publishing

A twelve-module editorial training course that can be delivered over three or six months, all via live video calls.

Who is the training for?

This unique course is for anyone wanting to work in children’s publishing, however, it is a suitable introduction to all of trade publishing as we cover each of the major departments. Essentially, you will learn publishing from an editor’s perspective while being introduced to other roles, such as sales, marketing, design, and production.

?What will we be doing?

? Twelve 90-minute to two-hour video lessons delivered weekly or fortnightly.

? Completing an individual project – a book proposal based on your book interests. This can be used as part of your portfolio to show potential employers that you know exactly what goes into book production

? Homework that gives you CV-boosting experience of the admin and processes involved in book publishing. You can expect to spend two to three hours per module on homework.

? Networking and connecting with people already working in the industry.

? Creative exercises specially designed to expand your confidence.

? Putting together an outstanding CV and carrying out a practice interview.

? Learning how to get into book publishing without prior experience.

£2975 if paid in full or £500 monthly (six payments)
