What's the Flavor of the Day!
Solar Plexus : Core Color: Yellow Meditation Sound: Shift to parallel reality to manifest quickly; You Tube
Function: The core function of solar plexus energy is stabilization and confidence building. It is where you claim and execute mastery of the physicality of your existence. In my introductory column (Nov. 2023), I referred to the heart chakra as the Grand Central Station of the chakra system. It's only fitting then to liken the solar plexus to Union Square-- a vital hub in an integrated system of energetic starts and stops, running up or downtown. At each stop, energy is gathered and dispensed, people shuffle about in an attempt to balance the weight of the train . If there's a train malfunction in Brooklyn, it could take hours to restore the balance of your day, and for balance to be restored at Union Square. Which by the way is one stop before Grand Central, on the Express!
The solar plexus is the point where in theory, the lower chakras merge with the higher. It's where the system first reaches a point where the base chakras can physically and energetically interact with and feed from the higher chakras. In this balanced energy you are making decisions that in 3D, look exactly like your mind tells you they should. It's your wheel of manifestation, and in women, aligned with the navel / umbilical cord, and in all humans marks the integration of energy from the more primal reproductive zones to the area containing soft tissue organs necessary to balance and maintain bodily functions including digestion, which is also affected by the solar plexus .
So, you've taken command of your desires and begun to manifest them into your reality. Bravo! Your core is balanced and well-conditioned-- unless it's not! And not can be really scary, resulting in low self-esteem, victim-hood, overall weak constitution, and all that ensues in ones life from such internal conditions. And that's just when the chakra is weakened. In cases where the solar plexus is overactive, individuals may experience bouts of extreme pompousness, narcissism, aggression and recklessness.
As each chakra vibrates at its own frequency, (something that we will explore further in the future), the compilation and distribution of these individual energetic frequencies results in your signature resonance. This is your soul's individual 3D baseline frequency. It shifts through out the day depending on your thoughts, feelings, intentions, and subsequent actions. The goal is to come as close to balance as possible, and since the solar plexus is a critical juncture in the chakra system, this months recommendation is jewelry for the body, and for the home.

Citrine is a beautiful yellow-gold quartz. The stones can range from a pale yellow, to dark amber, depending on the amount of iron present. It is said to correspond to the sun, and brings joy, abundance, confidence and transmutation of lower emotions. A bracelet, ring, earrings or belt-buckle containing the stone will go a long way towards balancing and catapulting solar plexus energy further up the chain. Crystals and stones have long been sought after design accents, adding a pop of color or starting a conversation that can literally define a space. Insert a crystal element in the home or office and set a direct intention. Add a decorative display stones to the fireplace, or freestanding depending on size.
Or why not add colorful glassware through out your space-- vases, bowls, plates. I call it functional art. In a pinch those vessels hold value far beyond the aesthetic. Add these accents in areas that need a bit of a boost in energy. Dining room feeling a bit heavy, add vibrant glassware, or a glass chandelier. And remember, glass is melted stone. It holds its own vibration that is easily absorbed by your auric field.
