What's Failure ?

I have heard people saying and talking about failure , Even the top Management Gurus talk of Failure but isn't the word so discouraging that it can kill someone's motivation for the next shot in Life.

I will start with a quote of Winston Churchill on Socialism which said - “Social-ism is a phi-los-o-phy of fail-ure, the creed of igno-rance, and the gospel of envy, its inher-ent virtue is the equal shar-ing of misery.” 

With the out spread of the Socialist Philosophy some of the Top thinkers of the world started talking of the disparity between the Rich and Poor , The Rich acquired all means of living a standard comfortable life and the poor who was devoid of those means kept struggling to gather the handsome means of life. This could be the Prominent basis were People with all Luxuries started terming the others as Failure. This became the norm of the society further.

When you have some objective in your plan of action and somehow you didn't got to fulfil that objective , you start terming your self as Failure , the better word here could be "Misfire" , you shot a bullet and it just missed the target - an analogy, In other words -

Input = Output

The output will depend upon input , it can depend upon parameters like speed , air density , concentration of eyes and mind , Hand Grip etc. , These are all the Parameters which define the probability of bullet hitting the target.

Same like bullet in life also there are certain Parameters when you start chasing a Target , before jumping to the target there are some other conditions too-

1) What forced you to choose the Target , Do you have enough reason's?

2) Whether accomplishing that target will fulfil the desires you have in mind.

Then comes the functional aspect for achieving the Target -

1) Are you really prepared for the Journey ?

2) Do you have a action plan for getting self Prepared ?

3) What is the accuracy of your action plan?

Then comes the third aspect which is mostly avoided in consideration

"What if you don't achieve the Target ? , Do you have Plan B"

This is the time when you don't have Plan B people start Tagging you as a Failure but in real perspective it was just a Misfire which has its roots somewhere either in the action plan or the self executory skills.

As i mentioned above there is other ground where the target itself can be a wrong choice and even the objectives towards it could be flawed , this again challenges the myth of calling someone a Failure.

What i believe is Failure & Success -

"Its simply the Process of Learning"

If you succeed it affirms the validity of what you learned and that becomes your experiential learning for life , if you fail you revisit to find the defect and try improve it with your wisdom

"Failure let us define the defect areas which need replacement for the next Fire"

Success and Failure is a complex Process starting from an Individual to Families and to Organization , what we need is to change the Perception , As a individual when you succeed you get lot of congratulation , lot of appreciation and applaud but when you fail you are bullied.

Some world class Organizations understand it better , they know that there is no substitute which can get them out of "Not doing" a Task or taking certain risk which are associated with any activity , This culture of Learning via failing takes them far ahead in life, they give enough liberty to their employees to test every idea which can work even if that fails.

SO THE GOLDEN STATEMENT FROM ME - "Start Celebrating Failure , when you fail you get to know doing what can make you succeed "
