What's the Difference between Polyamide wax pastes and thixotropic agent?
Polyamide wax pastes and thixotropic agents differ significantly in function and application. Polyamide wax pastes are mainly used to improve the surface smoothness, gloss and abrasion resistance of coatings and inks with good slip and heat resistance. In contrast, thixotropic agents are mainly used to adjust the rheological properties, to improve the flow and suspension of coatings by reducing the viscosity when shear is applied and to restore the high viscosity in the stationary state. In short, polyamide pastes focus on surface properties, while thixotropic agents concentrate on flow and stability.
