What's the difference between an entrepreneur & a startup founder? ??

Both individuals are investing in a business, but one will bear more responsibility than the other. A startup founder is not the same as an entrepreneur.

• Who is an Entrepreneur?

Someone who seeks out business opportunities and devises strategies to make those opportunities profitable.

Entrepreneurs frequently invest without the major responsibilities of running the companies because they are more concerned with making money from them.

• Who is a Startup Founder?

While they may sound similar to the entrepreneur, they have different goals.

A start-up founder, unlike an entrepreneur, does not have a primary financial motivation. They develop a product or service with the goal of changing the world. They want to be famous or demonstrate to others that anything is possible.

While there may be a large payout in the future, they do not begin with the intention of making millions.

• What goal does an entrepreneur want to accomplish?

Entrepreneurs, as opposed to startup founders, seek out business opportunities with the intention of turning an idea into a profitable enterprise.

They can either be a part of the founding team or simply invest in other founders who are putting new ideas into action.

• What’s the goal of a startup founder?

A startup founder, by definition, is either a member of the founding team or the company's sole founder. If they execute well, a financial windfall could be on the way.

Their primary motivation, however, is to create a product or service that can improve the world.

Both will eventually require grit, motivation, and money to be successful. So, are you the founder of a startup or an entrepreneur?
