What's the difference between a bookkeeper and a CPA?

I like to use the medical field to help explain this common question.
A CPA is like a doctor. They have the most education, which usually correlates to higher prices. They also have the most authority when it comes to your finances. You shouldn't be without a CPA.
HOWEVER...
A bookkeeper is like a nurse. They do the more "low-level" work, which tends to be the more "personal" work. I get to know my clients in a way that most CPA's do not, as they tend to only communicate with their clients to file their taxes. I'm in my client's books every day, and am therefore CONSTANTLY connected to their business. This makes it easy for clients to come to me with questions (and for me to go to them with MY questions, as well!)
As a bookkeeper, I do the daily, weekly, and monthly work needed to stay on top of your books. Then, we send them to your CPA (or, in other words, the doctor comes in.)
If you don't have a bookkeeper, I know a great one! ;)
If you don't have a CPA, I also know MANY great ones! I'd be happy to hook you up, even if you want to use a different bookkeeper than myself! :)
Blessings,
