What's Cool in Sustainability for September 2024

We’re in the middle of a huge innovative transition from the Oil Age to the Post-Carbon Age. The signs are all around us. U.S. wind and solar are on track to overtake coal this year. Climate tech VCs have already raised more in 2024 than in the whole of last year. The U.S. grid is adding batteries at a much faster rate than natural gas. Plus, more than 40 percent of the world’s electricity came from zero-carbon sources in 2023! Exciting times!

For this month, we’ve compiled a selection of updates, resources, news and more that is relevant to sustainable design. This is designed to bring more visibility and awareness to the amazing things the teams at CannonDesign have been doing to make sustainability and environmental responsibility a driving force behind Living-Centered Design.

If you have any questions about how sustainability can help deliver better results, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Director of Sustainability Eric Corey Freed, RA, LEED Fellow .

It's fascinating to witness how firms pioneer sustainable approaches! Just look at [ICT Company](https://join.mission-reuse.com/?fpr=orlando89) They have managed IT asset disposal projects judiciously since '93. Can sustainable practices be the game-changer in IT industries as well? Let's discuss!
