Cybersecurity Awareness Month: Let's Dive In

October is #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth and as physical and cyber security teams work more closely together, it's essential for us to realize the importance of protecting critical data and systems like the IT pros do.

In this blog, we discuss the convergence of the two, what it means in the industry, and the overlap we're seeing.

But we have a ton of other resources on the topic, including:

BONUS: We will highlight the #cybersecurity and #physicalsecurity convergence at Converge 2024 in Anaheim on Oct. 25. HiveWatch Co-Founder & CEO Ryan Schonfeld will be joined by 3GC Group CEO Henry Park and Innovate@UCLA Executive Director James Rinaldi for the discussion.

HiveWatch and Genea

Last week, we announced our strategic partnership with smart building technology provider Genea , which specializes in cloud-based security built on non-proprietary hardware. The partnership allows HiveWatch? GSOC Operating System (OS) customers to leverage the innovative solutions for Genea to strengthen their security programs across their organizations.

“The partnership with Genea adds another tool for leaders to level up their security programs and ensure GSOC operations are viewed as more than a ‘cost center,’ but as a way to provide organizations with data-driven insights and more value that drives the entire business forward, regardless how many systems they use today.”?- Ryan Schonfeld

Product Focus: Rules Engine

Now available in the HiveWatch? GSOC OS: Rules engine, which allows program managers to customize the instance of incoming alarms based on specific rules (time, location, repeatability, etc.). Incidents are still recorded in the background so program managers can review their rules and measure for program improvements.
