Meet Bugs Bunny, a software tester - say Hi!

So, one fine day his project manager calls in a stand-up meeting to review project progress. Bugs, grabbed the coffee and found himself with others - it was pretty exciting!

The project manager then asked about the "DATE FOR RELEASING THE APPLICATION".

The rest of the team, including all the Developers, Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, and Support responded in unified voice "IT IS READY SIR!!! - WE ARE WAITING FOR A QA GO AHEAD WITH 100% BUG FREE RELEASE"

and....

Bugs was like.... "what the #@#$@# is going on?" .... and he came out of that meeting room...

Cutting short the day, Bugs went home, and to spark off the tensions over his head, he decided to take an early nap. He was already under a lot of pressure within those tiny scrum cycles, and reporting, and meetings, and then testing activities. It was hard to pull all that time out, and who knows what the next day will bring upon that guy?

But Then..

He started to get strange dreams...

These dreams started to get stranger as the night lingers on...

An he was unable to sleep with a heavy guilt on his mind....

and that's when it hit on his head... "I need to remove this guilt, it is not my responsibility to give them a surety on Quality - this is everyone's responsibility."

You know why?

BECAUSE.....

So what do we do as testers then? (Good question!)

Here is what we do :)

Next time, if you come across any Bugs Bunny in your lives, make sure to tell them this - and make them do the testing first. Who knows how many Stand-ups and estimations they are saving for you with their honest efforts.
