What’s better than that?

This year undoubtedly has been a year for the record books, but I am very proud of what The Labz has accomplished. The true power of change has been the theme, and thankfully our company has been able to adapt and change in very significant ways that have positively impacted our business – and our partners in the film, music, and entertainment industries. Check out 2020 looked like for The Labz: 

• Our biggest change: pivoted the business to become on an online event SaaS platform focused on executing creative, interactive live experiences and events without custom software development
• Since the soft beta launch in September, we have successfully powered over 150 events with 50k attendees; We’re now working to launch the full product in March 2021
• Our biggest support system has been The Level Forward Team. These kindred creative spirits have helped tremendously by leading our seed round. With introductions to their network, we moved faster than we were ever able to before.  
• Surreal speaking moments included being the SEC Keynote Speaker – “How to Support Minority Founders” and being featured on the NAMM main stage in an interview with Joe Lemmon  
• My favorite Labz event was the “American Women” and “Holler” film screenings and the “Invisible” table reading. 
• Enjoyed being featured as a guest on Gimlet’s “The Pitch”. Take a listen here: bit.ly/34XZo6y – and am looking forward to more speaking engagements and opportunities in the new year that allow me to share my story of being an entrepreneur.

2021 will be the year where I get to continue to help people be creative – but now through innovative ways that connect people on a deeper, meaningful level. What’s better than that?
