What’s best for your Small Business? Facebook Ads vs Google Ads

Considering the resources and needs of the startup. In fact, all the platforms are perfect for both start-ups and established companies. But compared to both Facebook seems to be the best option as it is cheaper, helps to target the right audiences and best of all result-oriented.

How to choose between so many advertising platforms?

The answer to your question is actually very simple. It completely depends on two things:

  • Your Niche, Product/ Service
  • Your Goal to Advertise

Generally, People advertise on Google to convert a lead into a sale or conversion.

The people searching on Google are pretty much at the end of the marketing funnel, and they searched for the product themselves. This means they are aware of the product and perhaps ready to make a purchase.

However, Advertising on Facebook can be an entirely different story if you don’t have a custom audience built. You have to start from product awareness towards the end of the funnel which will take more time & budget.

Facebook tends to be friendlier to low-budget campaigns than Google. Its tools and options are affordable even to small businesses and companies with limited resources: you can set a $5-per-day budget and still have your offer discovered by your ideal target users (it will affect the volume of traffic, of course, but targeting accuracy won't be sacrificed). This also makes it easier to scale a campaign over time;

Facebook ads are powerfully visual. Properly created ads blend seamlessly with the videos, images, and other content in a user’s news feed, and this enables advertisers to convey a desirable message discreetly.

Quick Comparative Analysis

  1. Google AdWords: It is a good platform, but a bit expensive. It is best to send traffic to the website for collecting leads and promoting offers for customers or to drive them to the eCommerce website. It can also be used to start sending traffic to our youtube video channel for product Awareness.
  2. Facebook Ads: Facebook is still the very best platform, as it offers super targeted audiences, and helps to laser target customers. It is cost-effective as compared to Google AdWords.
  3. Instagram: It can be used to send traffic to the Website Page and YouTube product videos (1-minute videos) and use to send small-budget products traffic. But it's really very cost-effective, direct and excellent volume conversion.

Conclusion

Of course, this doesn't mean that Google is no longer a good advertising solution, or that Facebook is objectively a better choice. The final answer to this question depends on your business and product. It is probably best to experiment with both platforms, compare the results and choose which of them matches your business goals better.
