Have you ever thought what is the best way for an optician/opthalmologist to get patients coming back into the clinic?
That's what our friends at SEE Eyewear wondered so did a survey on Linkedin and this is what they found when they asked this question.
"What's the best way to remind you that it's time to get your eyes checked?"
I decided I would take a screenshot of the result so far...
Probably no surprise that 66% of people said a text message after all around 98% of text messages get read and this ends up in significantly more bookings. The rate increases even higher if you interact with your patients and it so much more time efficient than phone calls or letters.
But if that's the case why do so few optical businesses not have a text and message follow-up system is it because they didn't know or haven't seen it in action?
It occurred to me that so many opticians are missing out on a very cost-effective way of making more money and practically guaranteeing that patients come back they don't forget or end up going with your competition.
