What’s Behind Our Recent Market Slowdown?

Today I want to answer a question I get asked almost every week this time of year: What’s going on with the market? We’re well into August and approaching our fall market, and things seem pretty slow. This is completely normal. Between July and August, a lot of people are getting their kids ready for school or either leaving for vacation or coming back from vacation. August and December tend to be the slowest months of the year for new activity, which means if you’re a seller and you don’t already have a buyer for your home, you might have a slow time finding one in the near future.
