What's the backend system for making more money?
Liz Conlon
I help service providers scale from 6 to 7 figures from proven digital strategies, and automation systems
"How is X getting soooo many new clients when?their services are more expensive than mine and not as great?!" - says every jealous competitor that doesn't have a seamless sales system in place.
What these guys don't understand is that X has a complete powerful backend built, that takes every lead that comes in from their opt-in page, and follows up with them within 15 minutes. And if they don't get a response from them the first time, they follow up again and again from calls, SMS, and emails until the subscriber responds with "UNSUBSCRIBE" or "OK, I 'll sign up." The backend is where the magic happens. You want your automation process to do all of the heavy liftings for you.. with your automated sequenced emails in place, showing your authority, and answering their most common objectives while adding urgency to get them to respond.
"No leaky buckets" is what we marketers say in the biz. In other words, we create a system that triggers a lead that doesn't react immediately.
Let me show you an example ... I use Active Campaign for my clients' email marketing. When someone opts-in to their automated email campaign they'll receive an email from them. I track and tag the "Schedule a call" Call to Action links. If they clicked on it, I'll send them to another automation about what to expect on their call... The one who hasn't clicked on that link, remains in that first automation sequence until I can convince them that this client is so great and they'll be missing out if they don't schedule an appointment with them. By this point I'll send them more case studies, testimonials, and videos until they feel confident enough to book an appointment.
Every automation has a specific goal.
When setting these automation sequences up, you have to remember that every funnel has a job, and that is to go to the next funnel.
First funnel goal: Get them to sign up by answering 'What's in it for them' and 'Why should they buy from you- knock down their objections"
Content: 18 email sequences with videos for over $1000 service, tracking the email open rates and links clicked.
The goal of this funnel is to get them to schedule an appointment or buy the product. The more expensive the service/ product is, the deeper the funnel is.
The rule of thumb is that anything over $1000 for a service is an estimated 18 emails within 45 days.
If they didn't open the email at all, I send them to the same email with a different subject line, until they open it. I'm ruthless! "No Lead Left Behind Conlon" is what they call me.

Second funnel goal: Get them to show up
Get the prospect excited about the call/ consultation.
By showing a video of what to expect during your call together, the prospect can witness your demeanor and character in action increasing your chances of a prospect showing up by 15%. Time-sensitive SMS text increases the show-up rate by a whopping 30% more. (Yes, these stats are proven.)
Protip! For health or beauty providers, you can have brought photos of " their ideal version of themselves" to help them visualize their new self. I don't have the stats in front of me, but I know for a fact, this works extremely well.
* I set all of this up in Active Campaign but if you're using an email manager that doesn't have an SMS option, Twillio is a good SMS service.
Once they show up, it's out of my hands. My job is almost done. I then check the weekly stats of the repost and make sure these leads are super qualified by checking the open rates, engagement rates, and conversion rates. If these three KPIs are high, then Great! No leaky bucket.
If not, I'll see where the bottleneck is:
It could be the audience- is not qualified enough
Subject line- not intriguing enough
Content... the audience doesn't see the amazing opportunity they've been given so that definitely would need to change.

AND I promise! I won't send you 18 emails or any SMS texts...only great and valuable content as always.
Bye for now,
