Whatever You're Doing, Keep it Up!

Whatever You're Doing, Keep it Up!

Have you ever tried to push a car? At first it seems like an immovable object. You hold your breath, lean into the car and dig your feet into the ground, then push as hard as you have ever pushed anything in your life.

At first, you have doubts about whether you can do this. You think about the futility of trying to propel something that weighs twenty times what you weigh. Then something magical happens. You feel the car begin to roll.

Once you overcome the inertia of the car at rest, maintaining or even increasing speed seems easy by comparison. It's exactly the same thing when starting anything new - a job, a class, a new company.

If you're starting a new business, building a new website, getting engaged in social media, searching for a job... it always begins with that first long hard push. After that, it gets easier. So stick with it!

Momentum. It's a beautiful thing.
