Whatever thing you do, don't forget who and where you are.

We all get caught in doing things. Action or inactivity, we focus on doing. Doing is our main concern, more than being. If we don't do anything, often we become worried. Rick Warren wrote in his The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here for? that "We are human beings, not human doings". The system comes before the action. That's a general rule, for humans, organizations, animals, and probably even robots. So the next time you get caught in some remarkable or boring doing ask first yourself: (who) am I? and (where) am I? To double-check that you are managing to do the right thing for the right being, yourself.
