Whataburger, Hurricane Harvey & Rockport Texas

Whataburger, Hurricane Harvey & Rockport Texas

On August 26th the beautiful town of Rockport, TX that I live in was devastated by Hurricane Harvey.  Driving back into town was one of the most shocking and upsetting things I had ever seen or dealt with in my life.  The days blende together as the town has started the recovery process and Whataburger was there to assist the hungry people.  It was so amazing to be part of the team that had hot fresh food to hand out to all the people with no water or electricity (myself being one of those people) some who had not had a hot meal in over a week.  We hugged, we cried and we served.  As soon as power was back up Whataburger was quick to open the store back up and deliver as many breakfast tacos to First responders, churches, camps and anyone or anyplace we could find a need.  I can honestly say it helped keep me focused on the good going on rather than the sad.  Whataburger continues to serve the community by hiring local and providing great food and service with PRIDE, CARE & LOVE.  I am so incredibly proud to be part of the Whataburger Team!
